Resurrection  of BUM PHILLIPS: ALL-AMERICAN OPERA!  Our whole La Ma Ma production will be headed to the Stafford Centre in Houston, TX for an event sponsored by Dan Pastorini Charity.  The show will open and close on September 24th!

Today I start rehearsals for Welcome to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia!  Working with the intrepid MONK PARROTS once again.  Should be one hell of a ride.  Amazing cast and artistic team.  Goes up at 59e59 on October 8th.  Get your tickets ASAP.

John has been cast as ASH in Evil Dead: The Musical at the Warehouse Theatre in Greenville, SC.  Details to come!

Austin Entertainment Weekly has nominated John for a Central Texas Excellence in Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Play.  The nomination is for his portrayal of Mr. Marks in the March 2013 UT Austin production of Intimate Apparel.

03/15/2014

March 15th was the opening night of Bum Phillips All-American Opera!  The production has been well received with some glowing press.  Highlights include a New York Times feature and the NFL Network Benefit Performance.  John was also highlighted in Game Changer Magazine’s April/May issue for his participation in the production.

John is proud to announce that he has been cast in The Shakespeare Forum production of The Merchant of Venice.  He will be playing the roles of Tubal, Prince Arragon, Old Gobbo, and the Duke in this ensemble production.  This will be John’s first collaboration with The Shakespeare Forum and he is very excited!  Please check here for ticket information.

John has recently been cast in Bum Phillips All-American Opera at La MaMa in association with the Monk Parrots, Inc.  The production will play in NYC at the Ellen Stewart Theatre in March of 2014.
